We aRe Fruitport scholarship opportunity

Each year, the senior class raises money to help fund their end of year senior trip. Like most activities last year the Class of 2020 senior trip was canceled due to the pandemic. Students decided to turn lemons into lemonade and graciously donated a portion of the money they raised to the FEF.  We are grateful for this gift and are so proud of our students for giving back to their school district.

As a tribute to the Class of 2020 the FEF will use this gift to award a scholarship to a 2021 FHS senior.  In addition, we challenged the Class of 2021 to “pay it forward” by raising funds to do the same for the Class of 2022. The challenge was accepted!

It is our hope that this scholarship challenge will snowball and become a yearly student event. Senior class officers each year will be challenged
to raise a minimum of $500 toward the new scholarship, named “We aRe Fruitport”, for the succeeding class. Criteria for application will focus on the three R’s - being respectful, resilient, and responsible while attending FHS. Have you exhibited the three R’s over the past four years?

The “We aRe Fruitport” scholarship application will be available soon and will be posted here.
