Dr. Robert H. PierceA man of integrity, generosity and compassion, Dr. Pierce will long be remembered as an individual who gave much of himself to his community and to the students of FCS. His accomplishments and service toward our community and Fruitport Schools leave a lasting legacy.

Bonnie Smith A woman who was content in all things, Yvonne “Bonnie” Smith lived her life on purpose each and every day. She deeply loved those around her, lived a responsible and frugal life, and exemplified what a woman of faith looks like through the choices she made.
Bonnie dearly loved the Fruitport community as well and gave of her time and talents to the community she loved. Her legacy continues through her estate gift to the Fruitport Education Foundation. Click here to read her story. |
Doug yonkersFruitport graduate Douglas Yonkers had a zest for life. When he passed away in 2012 at the age of 43 as a result of a motor vehicle accident, his fiancée, Julie Jurkas, along with Doug’s family and friends, wanted to honor his memory and organized an annual golf fund raiser.
Julie asked the FEF to allocate the funds to the district’s STEM program allowing Doug’s legacy to live on in our classrooms. Click here to read Doug's story. |
Sue KeglovitzSue Keglovitz dearly loved the Fruitport community. She was a Fruitport graduate and administrative assistant for the Eastern Service Unit supporting the special education programs for four districts. She was also a familiar face in the ticket booth at home football games, volunteered countless hours to the district, and sold Scrip to Shettler families.
Each year a Fruitport High School senior will be awarded a scholarship thanks to the generosity of family, friends and community members who came together to create the Sue Keglovitz Memorial Fund. Click here to read more about Sue. |
Adam kieft Adam Kieft, a member of the Fruitport High School Class of 2002, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain and spinal cord tumor in the fall of 1996 (while in sixth grade) and courageously battled until March 15, 2003, when his body succumbed to cancer. In honor of Adam's life, the FHS Class of 2002 established the Adam Kieft Memorial Scholarship with the help of the Fruitport Education Foundation.
